Don Juan Feat. Dj Quick Silva - Get It Like Me (Official Music Video)

Another Album FLOP for CIARA

Ciara's new album "Basic Instinct," only sold about 37 copies in its 1st week. Which is not a good look for her because her 2009 release "Fantasy Ride," was a major flop last year as well. Ciara is very talented, but she doesn't seem to have that same sparkle that she had back in 2004.

Ciara's 1st week sales for all of her albums ::
"Goodies" - 125 k units
 "Evolution" - 333 k units
 "Fantasy Ride" - 81 k units
"Basic Instinct" - 37 k units

Where is ALL the Ciara FANS at????? How come ya'll ain't supporting your girl??? lol

My interview with Lo Smooth

Lo smooth is an artist who was born and raise in the downtown fort green section of bklyn. Lo smooth grew up with a purto rican mother and black father which kinda made him diverse back then cause in my hood u was either black or spanish back then. Lo smooth grew up listening to hiphop since 8years old and immediately knew he wanted to be a rapper espically since rappers like biggie smalls, Foxy brown, was from the neighborhood. Coming up in brooklyn u either wanted to play ball or rap and lo smooth choose rap. Growing up in the projects around hustlers, killers, thiefs was normal for lo smooth and taught him quick about the streets. Growing up in a spanish house hold with his grandmother, grandfather, mother, cousins etc 3bedroom apt with about 12 people back then seems rough but Lo smooth mother as a single parent always did for lo smooth and always made sure he was fresh and neat for school. Lo smooth first time in the studio he was 15 and that's all it took for him to take it serious. At 16 lo smooth dropped outta of high school to hustle crack cocaine and to pursue music and which he actually had meetings back then that never feel threw.at 19 lo smooth cousin goosey had got locked and sentence to 8years in the feds for drug etc charges and it messed lo smooth up bad cause lo smooth was the one who hid him out for 6months, and from there lo smooth promised himself and cousin goosey by time he come home he will have something to look foward to. By time lo smooth was 21 he started to appear on numerous of mixtapes in the nyc area and started doing a lot of shows in nyc which started to get his name out there rapidly. In 2009 lo smooth shot his first video with director mills miller in brooklyn and from there he really started getting notice, all the sites and local tv shows in ny was picking it up. Lo smooth 2nd video director by mills miller feat rapper kia shine from mephis which landed on mtv,vh1,mtvu, thisis50 and every other major site and from there any video lo smooth has dropped landed on most of every major website on the net, local channels in nyc, and record on numerous of mixtapes. At this time lo smooth is getting a lot of love from power 105.1fm in ny and still getting love from major websites, djs, etc which forced him to start his own company smoothgroove records, and is in talk with labels wanted him to sign him but lo smooth is not starving and rufuse to be sign as a slave or 360 deal, beside he got this far on his own with help from his team smoothgroove. Lo smooth is destined to be one of the greatest to this new generation and first and formost a business man besides he always been a hustler.

1. When did you first fall in love with Hip Hop? When did the point in your life come when you said, "this is what I want to do!"

I first fell in love with hiphop around 1992. When biggie smalls came out with juicy and the video was shot in my neighborhood I knew this is what I wanted to do.

2. How happy are you on your success of the "Blame it on the game" video?

I'm very content with blame it on the game it was on worldstarhiphop,thisis50 etc and it was actually the first record that got me on power 105.1fm in ny.

3. What is the hip hop scene in Brooklyn like ? Is the style any different from Queens or Harlem; or any other boroughs?

The hiphop scene in bklyn is very raw and direct. This is the home of biggie, jay-z etc. The content is the same as any borrough cause we all nyc but the style always been very different. Example jay-z and nas both great artist, content kinda the same but style and flow and wordplay very different etc.

4. How did you end up linking with Chansz for Some how?

chansz actually followed me on twitter and I checked her music out and thought she was very dope and different.

5. Where were you when you 1st heard it on the radio?

I was actually in the crib chilling that night.

6. Your videos are very nicely put together! (my fav is "THE REALEST") How do you come up with the concepts for your videos and how   you want them to be shot?

Appreciate that, 99 percent of the time i come up with the concept of the videos, cause they my records and I kno the vision I will like to see, so usually at the last min lol I just sitdown listen to the record and brainstorm. And of course I ask my people for they input.

 7. If you could work with any music producer, who would it be?

At this point of time I will like to do something with pharell......
8. Where do you see Hip Hop in the next 10 years?

In the next 10years I see hiphop being more independet as far as artist goes, and not dependent on the majors. Hiphop is going to blossom as the new school rappers appear.

 9. For someone who has never heard your music before, what can they expect to hear?

They can expect the magic they heard wen they first came across biggie, jay-z, 2pac, scarface, nas etc. I'm the leader of the new school.

10. Do you have any new releases coming soon?

yes in march ima drop my mixtape called foreve1r gold hosted by power 105.1fm own jovonn.

11. Where / how can your fans get in contact with you?

www.twitter.com/smoovygroovy or facebook.com/losmooth thanks for ur time groove!

CIARA PERFORMS "RIDE" ON THE MONIQUE SHOW

Judge rules in Fantasia's Favor.. She doesn't owe the WIFE a DIME!!! HUH?

As MediaTakeOut.com reported, Antwaun and his ex-wife, Paula, were in the midst of a divorce proceeding. Paula was trying to prove that Anywaun comitted ADULTERY during the marriage (that he was sleeping with Fantasia BEFORE the couple separated). She then plannedon using that judgment to go after Fantasia in a civil suit.

Well yesterday the North Carolina Judge ruled despite OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE that Fantasia did not break up the dude's marriage.

Here's what one of MTO's in-the-know folk has to say about it:
Legal experts are stunned. [A ton of] evidence was presented to show they separated in June. Their neighbors testified that he was living there, there was a facebook update presented from March 2010 that antwaun has sent to Paula to confirm they were married. The bartender from a local restaurant they frequented testified that they spent a significant amt of time there during the spring and indicated that they were back together taking a picture of him & her sending it 2 all their friends saying, " I'm baaaack"! and he had a birthday party for her at their home in April.

Most importantly an email was placed into evidence from Fantasia where she told antwaun that she said had accepted the fact (spelled excepted ) the fact that he has gone home to work things out with his wife. And that she was so happy when "you snuck out to see me the other night" but "sad when you had to leave." she went on to say "you're there every night now, you're there right now."

New Music From Panama !!! Viva La Panama Drops Monday!!!

With a motto like ‘Go Hard or Go Home’, its clear that Panama is doing all he can to get a strong grip in entertainment, with no plans of letting go and returning home any time soon. Panama's hunger for becoming a driving force in Hollywood has only been enhanced by goals to become a triple threat in the entertainment industry. He is constantly developing his own brand " Its Panama Baby," and looking to live through people with his words, music or personality. Born in Brooklyn to Panamanian parents, hip hop artist, actor and entrepenuer, Panama has overcome struggles of a broken household and learning to live on his own during his teenage years in Baltimore. He managed to jump start his acting career by being cast in a much coveted role on HBO’s The Wire Season 4. The recurring role allowed him to gain exposure in the acting world, but also allowed him to cut his teeth in hip hop, taking any time not shooting to hit local ciphers and recording studios, battling his way until he was heard. His songs express his experiences and concerns, but the content doesn’t take from the fact that Panama is undoubtedly a great writer and lyricist, especially on top of hard hitting beats behind his flow.
Panama currently has music featured on Music Choice as well as on MTV2 and MTVU’s The Freshman. Panama has displayed his talent for BET Rap City and many other media outlets. His focus and drive flow into his other interests, as well. Not only a hip hop artist, Panama teamed up with the founder of Bmore Creative, a burgeoning fashion line that has been seen on artists such as Method Man, Lupe Fiasco, and fellow cast members Omar and Bubbles from HBO’s The Wire. Panama is definitely a mogul in the making and anything less than that will be disrespectful to this true talent.

Lo-Keys Determination has kept him grinding putting heat to production from the top underground producers and being featured on hundreds of mixtapes. Building Even More Buzz within the Industry Lo-Keys became apart of North Carolina's "First In Flight Entertainment" alongside Rain, Big Cas, Traffic, Krillz and D Murda. His Edgy Style and Witty Lines Made Him A Great Edition To The Team. His Credentials go as such for Being Featured on Hundreds of Major Mixtapes such as Dj Messiah and many other Major Mixtape Djs, Hip Hop Websites, Most Major Radio Outlets such as True Stories Radio and appears constantly on Hip Hop Blogs. Now with the Rap Game At His Finger Tips There Is No Telling Where Lo-Keys May End Up In 2010

I had a chance to get a quick interview from Lo Keys *check it out* =)

Interview
1. How is the rap scene in North Carolina?

The Hip Hop scene here is pretty dope in my opinion. North Carolina embodies lots of different styles. The Carolina's are full of people who have migrated from different places, so you get lots of different music here within the region. Me myself my style caters more to Hip Hop from a flashy level mixed in with good lyrics and good substance.

2. Do you think other NC rappers are representing NC's true potential?

Absolutely. My label mate Rain is the true definition of that. His dedication to the game has landed him places such as MTV, BET, XXL Magazine, The Source Magazine and many other major Hip Hop outlets. Me im right behind him when it comes to publicity within the rap game being on all the major Hip Hop sites and so on. Then you also have J Cole who is signed with Roc Nation and a few others out here really making noise. I have the up most respect for the artist out here. I want every one to work hard and make a lane for themselves so the world can see their talents.

3. Why do you think your Twitter Freestyle Mixtapes are so popular?

(Laughs) Well i think the people just respect lyrics at the end of the day. The Twitter Freestyles Series was just Mixtapes to show my lyrical ability. Honestly we were only going to do one volume of that Mixtape series but the response was so big that we had to do a complete series. So i used the series to build up to my album that is being released this month. When you mix good lyrics with classic instrumentals all you can come out with is greatness, and thats what we gave the people. Big shouts to Dj Messiah, Mixgrind.com, and Dj L Gee from BlackWallStreet for the love.

4.How do feel about the "Flawless Crowns" video having over 8,000 views?

Its really a blessing at the end of the day to see people be so receptive of my music. The views on the videos show that. Videos give great visuals of as artist, so i want to give the people as many visuals as they can get of me. I want them to be familiar with the face and know that they are going to get great music at the same time. So major love to all the fans that have supported the videos and music without yall nothing is possible.

5. If you could work with any music video director, who would it be?

I would say Kanye West. I know he does not direct that much stuff but to get him to listen to a song and see the vision for a video would be great. Him like myself is an artist so different people v visualize different things when hearing something. So i would be very excited to see what kind of concepts he could come up with to put a visual to one of my songs.

6. If you could work with any producer who would it be?

I would probably work with Pete Rock. I love very smooth and laid back beats. Pete Rock is one of the inventors of that smooth sound within Hip Hop. So i believe that with his legendary status in the game and my talents we could make some beautiful music.

7. In which ways do you think the internet has helped or hurt artist? And how has the internet helped you??

I believe that the internet has helped more then hurt. The internet has given great amounts of exposure to artist that would not normally get shine. Hip Hop blogs and websites have almost sent music into a straight viral stage now. With the internet the way it is you do not have to wait on anything anymore, everything is right at your fingertips. An artist can promote themselves all over the world from right behind a computer. The internet has helped me by exposing me to different markets. Im worldwide because anyone can access me on the internet. For instance the people who visit your website may not know me now but after this interview they will which in turn is more promotion.

8. If you had a choice of picking which major label to sign to which one would it be?

Now thats a good question. Well lets just say that i cant pick one right now. I have some situations on the table so i do not want to show any favoritism here or there. However when the paper work is all filled out and the ink is dry, you and the rest of the world will know.
9. What advice do you have to give to anybody looking to get into the industry? How do you brand yourself?

Staying consistent is the key. People respect hard work. So work hard, try to build your contacts to all these websites and promote your music like your life depends on it. If its what you love to do then make sure you love to do it. The money will come when the time is right.
10. What can we expect from you New Release on Monday?

Good Lyrics, Substance and a whole lot of me. I give you me on the album all i ask is that you listen. The Front Street Cafe Drops December 20th 2010!!!!
Last but not least ......

11. Which video vixen would you want to play your girl in your next video?

I cant say i know the names of too many video vixens honestly. Well maybe we could get Gloria Valez in something. (Laughs) Ive never actually thought about it. I am working with a up and coming model in my next video entitled "Number One" her name is Nyoshi Lashae so be on the look out for her. In the meantime shoutout to Maria and Prettygirlgossip88. Stay Up
