A-Class

Born in South Korea and raised in America by way of Baltimore, MD, A-Class found hip-hop in the early 90s by listening to dubbed cassettes and jumping in neighborhood and schoolyard ciphers. By 2004 A-Class had thrust himself on to the battle scene, having made two appearances on Baltimore’s own 92.3Q Jams’ Tuesday Night Fights. In 2007, Class dropped his debut project titled "Motive Response" on Brake Fast Records. A-Class has since received considerable press in Baltimore city papers for wins in battles around the DMV including the 2008 Scribble Jam pre-lims and the Baltimore Masters competition. The Baltimore Examiner has described A-Class as having as "sick word play, dynamic cadence, great stage presence, and a sharp mind for insults" while the City Paper observed that "it'd be boring to watch him win all the time if he wasn't such a talented performer".

 In 2009, he was featured on Tom Delay’s concept album "Cases", penning the lead single,"Case I Find".

Most recently A-Class has become a top tier competitor on Grind Time Now, the world’s #1 rap battle league.

Limp Bizkit Signs With Cash Money Records

Lil Wayne ventured into the rock arena with this 2010 album Rebirth and though he's since turned his energies back to hip-hop, that doesn't mean that he can't sign rock artists. The YMCMB camp recently signed singer Christian Milian to the label and their latest acquisitionis 1990s rap-rock group Limp Bizkit, led by frontman Fred Durst.

In an interview with New York's 98.7 KissFM station DJ Lenny Green, Wayne said, "We're always listening and looking at acts. Every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money ... The other day I found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. They're singing everybody."

Wayne also said that the label could be working with former Murder Inc. princess Ashanti, but it was the news that Bizkit would join the likes of Nicki Minaj and Drake that raised the most eyebrows. Though they had a run at the top of the charts in the late 1990s with hits like a metalized rap cover of George Michael's "Faith" and "Nookie," by the early 2000's Bizkit began to lose steam. In 2001, colorful guitarist Wes Borland split as the band fell into a creative and commercial funk.

Borland returned for a brief period in 2004, but the critic's punching bag group could not outrun their past and went on hiatus until 2009, releasing their first album of new material in 6 years in 2011, the tepidly received major-label swan song, Gold Cobra. With the signing, LB become the first rock band to join a roster packed with R&B and rap acts that includes Tyga, Mack Maine, Busta Rhymes and Jay Sean.

Bizkit singer Fred Durst
 confirmed the Cash Money news early Friday morning in a series of Tweets, including one in which he wrote, "The game is missing danger, electricity, and rock n roll!!!! Cash Money Limp Bizkit." He later added, "rock s--- doesn't rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I'm back in this ho! #CMLB."

Chris Brown Is Under Investigation For Robbery

Chris Brown has been accused of angrily snatching some girl's iPhone outside anightclub in Miami this weekend ... and driving off with it -- law enforcement tells TMZ.

A rep for the Miami Beach PD tells TMZ, 24-year-old Christal Spann filed a police report Sunday (below) for "robbery by snatching" -- claiming she followed Chris and rapper Tyga out of Cameo nightclub early in the morning (see photo above) ... and snapped apicture of Chris getting into his Bentley.

Christal told cops ... Chris flipped out when he saw her camera phone-- then grabbed it through the car window, saying, "Bitch, you ain't going to put that on no website."


According to the police report, Chris then rolled up his window and drove off -- $500 iPhone in hand.

A rep for the Miami Beach PD tells us, no arrests have been made and no warrant has been issued yet. We're told the incident is currently under investigation.

BTW, Chris is still on probation for the Rihanna beating and if he's arrested he could be thrown in jail on a probation violation.

Calls to Chris' reps were not returned.

Bobby Brown leaves Houston funeral after spat

Singer Bobby Brown made a brief and dramatic appearance at ex-wife Whitney Houston's memorial service Saturday, leaving abruptly after being told that his entourage couldn't sit together, police sources told CNN.

Brown accused security of treating his family badly and barring him from visiting with his daughter, an account that Houston's family vehemently denied, according to a family friend.

Brown was seen arriving with several people and had sat down in the front row of a section marked off for family, before being asked to move. Brown had entered the church with other mourners, separate from Houston's family. He appeared emotionally distraught, with red eyes and head hanging as he walked up the aisle of the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. He approached Houston's casket, passed it and went back down the aisle. Ultimately, he left the church.

Security workers appeared to ask others, including celebrities and government officials, to also change seats to make room for everyone.

"My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston," Brown later said in a statement. "We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continued to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Bobbi Kristina Rushed To The Hospital For The Second Time Since Her Mother’s Death!

According to TMZ reports:

Whitney Houston’s 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was just rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles … and it’s her second trip to the hospital since her mother passed away last night … TMZ has learned.

According to our sources … Bobbi was taken out of the Beverly Hilton on a stretcher (see photo above). It’s the same hotel where Whitney was found dead.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported.

According to our sources, Bobbi Kristina went to the hospital last night as well, but was not transported via ambulance. We’re told she was “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”

As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina got into an angry shouting match last night with police officers outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead.

WHITNEY HOUSTON...Possible Drowning

No illegal drugs have been found in the hotel room where Whitney Houston died -- at least not yet -- but prescription drugs were present, and it's possible the singer drowned in the bathtub ... TMZ has learned. 

Sources tell us ... when EMTs arrived Whitney's body was already removed from thebathtub so it will take an autopsy to determine if she OD'd, drowned or died from some other cause.

Informed sources tell us ... Beverly Hills cops -- who were still searching the room at the time this story was posted -- found various pill bottles. There was no evidence that Whitney was drinking alcohol in the room.

Whitney's body was just removed from the room on a gurney.  It will go to the morgue for an autopsy to determine cause of death.
